any pro that you looked up to / modeled your game after?
« on: April 28, 2004, 06:20:35 PM »
Ever since I could remember, I always thought of Mike Aulby as a "hero" or a bowling "idol".  He was left handed, and during my early childhood (late 80's early 90's) he was one of the more dominant players, or so i remember.  So, I tried modeling my game after him.

Up until 2 years ago, I was a pure finesse bowler.  Then I reviewed/revamped my game, and I'm more of a power player now, If I say so myself I think I resemble Parker Bohn.

I always liked Bo Burton and Chris Schenkle better than the ESPN guys too...

I was told by a very reputable local pro shop operator that with my stature/build and ball speed I might consider following in Tom Baker's footsteps so to speak.  Hope to see him on TV next season so I can watch and hopefully learn.
