Next Season i am planning on coaxing my house into having a tournament for the YABA bowlers... BUT seeing how my league is run by only 2 people basically and i dont see them doing much to try to get a tournament set up I figured i would get the idea down on paper and present it to them.
The only problem is the line up... I figured on having about 24 people (ABOUT) bowl a handicap tournament... The problems come in with the line up, i would like it to be a 1 day tournament and for 20ish people to bowl on only 6 lanes that can be diffiicult... PLEASE help me in anyway possible (this is only line up, i will have to take care of prices later).
I am thinking 3 games of qualifying, with 4 bowlers on each lane, so 8 on a pair. Then taking the top 16 bowlers from qualifying and having them go through more qualifying, 2 games again, top 6 from that. Then matchplay will bring the top 6 against echother, they will bowl 2 on each pair, the winner will have to win 2 games against his/her opponent. The 3 remaining will bowl a 1 game qualifying match, with the high 2 games moving on. Then a 1 game match to decide the winner.
SOOOO, besides it being short, what do you think? And if there are any improvements you can think about PLEASE tell me...
Thanks
Mike
