Ball advice please
« on: February 26, 2005, 06:39:51 AM »
Hey guys.....help me out.  I am getting a brand new ultimate inferno as a sales award.  Should I drill it up and keep it or do I trade it for something else?  I do not throw a big hook, I prefer a straight up 8 0r 9 shot.  sometimes I will swing 10- 5 but mostly I find a line I can throw straight up.  I have a uranium and a labyranth as my primary balls, the lab  hooks more than than the uranium, I also have a fuze( a purple pearl fuze) that I will throw now and then, I like it because it goes long and snaps at the back.  I often throw it up 5 or swing it 10-5 or 12 -5.  I have med. revs, med speed, I have been around a 200 bowler for around 20 years now.  so what do you think, keep it or does anyone have a trade offer?  how do you reccomend I drill it, to snap, to flare, to arc, what?   I thought that I would like a hybrid dirty bomb or a weapon of mass bias, so I don't know what to do. thanks

I would like to give you a suggestion, but I'll admit I am not an expert and "get beat up" sometimes by people disagreeing with me, so I suggest you contact tenpinspro or EXCALIBER for advice.

so you just bowl in leagues?? do you like brunswick?? If you do, why not drill it up with your favorite layout and see how it works??? The Inferno line has been one of the best in the business, so I don't think you could go wrong. If you don't like it, I'm sure someone on the site would purchase it from you lol.

losers complain, while champions shut up and bowl!!!

Its not where you throw, but how you throw it... =)

Weapon of Mass Bias is my recommendation. Pin above bridge sounds about right to me.

normally I see just the THS...I bowl 2 leagues in different house, averaging 196 in house 1 and 204 in the other.  I seem to carry bettor in house 2 or to put it another way, I feel like the lane stays more true for 3 games than the first house, less carry down.  House 1 is an AMF house, house 2 is an independant family owned center, been around for 50 years. Today I am bowling singles and doubles in our city tourny at house 2, I expect to bowl ok.
I guess I am looking for suggestions on how to drill up the UI. what kind of reacion would I expect with different drill paterns.  again I am a stroker, I stay under the ball, have a real hard time coming around the ball and swinging.  my track is from just under the thumb to about 11:00, my lab is drilled to flare, the uranium isn't.......any suggestions?
