Anybody bowl the southern?
« on: March 20, 2005, 04:03:46 AM »
Hey everyone, anybody bowl the southern bowling tourney in Tennessee yet? I am going down this coming weekend and am wondering what kind of conditions to expect. Any info on the houses and lane conditions would be appreciated.

Thanks, cooksey

im a junior bowler that lives in Memphis and have been to Bartlett Lanes where it is held and the one thing that i have seen the most is that there is no carry. i had a friend of mine who just recently went adult and he is averaging 210 and the carry was so bad he only had 1 200+ game. so that is the only thing i have noticed. also if you can play about 25- between 15-13 with some speed i saw people scoring real well on that. Hope this helps!

Carry at Bartlett is best going straighter into the pocket. If the house shot is out, best carry is playing break point at 8-10 board at 35 ft and not getting deep. Entry angle does not help there.

LOL. If they put out the THS at Bartlett then just play ANYWHERE from 9-17 board.
That is the easiest house to score in, in Memphis right now.

I'll stone no head pins before their time.
Sr. K will. He gets tapped like that all the time.
