New Lane machine
« on: September 19, 2005, 11:35:51 PM »
My local alleys getting a new lane oiler machine thingy.

This time they're getting one on lease, so it should get some maintenance and hopefully upgrades etc...

oooh, 2 days to go,(thursdays the day) and just after I started getting use to the pattern.
hopefully they wont change it, so we just have to get use to it properly put down, instead of badly put down.

I'll let you know what type when I see it.

Its here, its a Kegal Kustodian Plus,

They said that they matched it to the old lane machine , but its sooo different, much oilier (maybe just same oil, more consistance cover), and a lot less degradation with not much carry.

did you know its got a nossle for each board on the lane to put the oil down.

If it is a Kustodian Plus it only has one oiling head that travels across the tranfer roller and has a board counter telling it when to start and stop across the lane.  Only the Authority 22 by Brunswick has a spray nozel for each board.  But enjoy the much better consistency for your pattern

i could be wrong in the identification...
i.e. i saw the kegel pheonix logo and the machine case was red/burgandy
I talked to the lane tech guy, he says that it has indiviual nozzles?

ah, just noticed on the website that some of the machines can come in multiple colours, but only single nozzles?

hmmm, maybe ill have a better chat with the lane guy...

well you would know if it was the authority 22- it doesnt look anything like your typical lane machine, and the color sounds like a Kustodian- The lane guy probably was trying to say that it could conrol each board but not by 38 oiling heads just one

Our center just got a Kustodian Plus, too.  So far they havent used it for the league I bowl in, but they have tried it a couple of times on the senior leagues during the day and the reports are that the lanes are playing like the oil pattern is longer or heavier oil.  Since they are using a new conditioner, I think it is probably the cause, not the pattern.
