Top Weight and Pin

Could someone explain to me what the numbers for top weight and pin length mean for a balls reaction? Like whats the defference between a 2 to 3 inch pin and a 3 to 4 inch?

To a skilled ball driller, nothing at all.  Sometimes certain pins are a little easier to work with for certain layouts, but there is no general ideal pin.  If you get a pin over 1" and less than 5" and top weight between 1.5oz and 4.5oz you can do whatever you need with a ball.


Little known fact:  In Russian "Hope" and "Change" translate to "Tax" and "Spend"

I just hear so much about pin size and top weight I wasn't sure if I was really missing something or if it just came down to personal preference.

I think too many people put too much emphasis on topweigh especially..
