Storm shoes?

Well, I am looking to replace my older Dexter shoes with something new this summer.  Of course, the options would be either the Dexter SST8 and 3G Tour Ultras.  However, has anyone tried out the new Storm shoes that are made by Dexter?  If so, what do you think?

From what I have seen, they are mostly for the entry level bowler.  Most do not have interchangeabe soles and heels.  Great color schemes and I would lik to own a pair, but I don't think they would work for an old man like me.

They're REALLY expensive.  They're about 20-30 dollars more expensive than their Dexter counterpart.  Dexters are good enough for me that I won't even consider wearing them.

I guess it depends on which seller (internet or otherwise) you go.
I see Buddies, just as an example, that seems to carry a model called "SP900" which seem to be a version of Dexter's. Not sure they're an SST 6 or an SST 8 version.

I do believe that the SP900 are the Storm equivalent to the SST8. Then the SP700 reminds me of those SST5 Sport shoes from a few years back. Hope that helps!

I have the SP900 and they are as comfortable as my old SST8s were. Prices for those were the same as the SST8 (depending on retailer), but I just wanted something different. I got tired of the standard SST8 colors.

I love my storm shoes they are more comfortable then my Dexter s and the soles and heels change.

Dexter's upper line soles and heels change too, leading me to believe you have/had a pair of lower priced Dexters, and a further comment that comparing a pair of 50 dollar shoes to a pair of 150 dollar shoes isn't really fair . .

After having the DEXTER SST 6,7,8's, the 3G Tour Sports were a welcome change. After having issues with the shoe coming apart, I then got a pair of the Storm SP 900's. They are almost as light and comfortable as the 3G's, but better built. The SST 8's are tanks compared to the SP 900's.

I was comparing sst8 to the high end storm.
