My shot!
« on: January 06, 2007, 12:18:07 PM »
Take it easy on me fellas, I've been bowling 1 year and still looking to really improve my game so I can accept all constructive criticism! These lanes were surprisingly oiled because this house only oils lanes for league play. I went out and practiced today and there just happened to be some oil out, which got me some pretty decent work. I was rolling a Freak by Track!

I'll get more videos next week sometime, battery was nearly dead! More to come soon.

Put it in the video forum would be correct and you'll get more advice.

You have a great start and a good attitude. But remeber that you can always learn more no matter how much you think you already know. Keep up asking questions. ASk some of the people at you local center and learn from them.

BOWLING IS FUN NO MATTER WHAT YOU SCORE. BUT A 300 IS ALWAYS NICE.

STRIKE ZONE, ONSLAUGHT & PYRO. STAND 22 AND THROW 10 OUT TO 5 AND CRUSH THE POCKET. AT LEAST THAT IS THE PLAN OF THE NIGHT...

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BOWLING!!!

looks like you finish 1 to 2 ft. behind foul line.... Moving up on the approach is a good idea, but will require you to adjust your targetting a good bit.... your ball will be starting out further down lane, and in the oil at point of touchdown instead of behind foul line on the dry. Breakpoint will then be affected by longer skid....

Thats what worries me the most. If I move up, I may not get my ball in the pocket. Im not a heavy rev guy, so I like to roll slower to give my ball more time to get back to the pocket. How should I adjust to moving closer to the line. Should I change my target and where to. On that shot I was sitting down around 18-19 and it swung to about 2 or 3. I actually got that shot out a little further then I intended. I wanted to keep it around 5/6.

GYWU,

Hey man, you throw it real well. Keep it up. Nice and smooth. Can't wait till you post more vids. If sliding 1-2 feet behind the line works for you, go for it. You can always experiment with moving up on the approach like others said as well.

Happy New Year!

Thanks a lot fellas, Im gonna get closer to the line and shoot some more vids this week with the wifey and hopefully I dont fall on my face. Ive seen 2guys endup half way down the lane LITERALLY in league play, and if it happened to me, I'd have to retire early because I laughed at those 2 guys and I'd be humiliated!
