I would like to ask you guys what is done in the classes and who was the instructor of your class. Also, what were your costs for attending the class (travel, hotel, food, etc),? What are the perks of being in the class? What are things that make it a little more difficult, etc....

I'm in the process of buying BowlersMap and then getting USAB Bronze Certified and then do some local stuff (like camps and clinics), and then go on to Silver for a part-time job.

If you can answer, please reply, or send me a PM on the messaging system. I'd like to discuss this with you. I'd like to pick your brain, too, hopefully.

I took the Bronze last year from Susie Minshew.  Great course lots of basic stuff.  Very good instructor and all business.  Cost was I think around $200 and the book you get is almost pure Fred Borden.  Test is harder than the Silver.  My Silver class was done by Rod Ross.  Very good instructor and class also.  Lots of video in the course.  Cost was around $400.  Both class were done in Dallas at DC West.  I live in Irving a rocks throw away.  I also highly recommend the Dick Ritger coaching courses.  For the basics of the game these are the finest any where period.  Dick is an excellent instructor.  I took level 1 and 2 from him in 3 days.  Exhausting but great!  Little to no over lap of the USAB classes.  I did the Ritgers in Fairview Heights Ill. (St. Louis area)  Traveled Amtrak to St. Louis on credit card miles so it was free sleeper meals onboard and all for 2 people.  Rooms were around $70 at the Econolodge there.  Both experiences worth every penny.  I also attended the coaching conference in Las Vegas for a week.  One coaching Principles class $99 and the weeks meetings $175.  Rooms were $69 a night.  Fantastic!  Nothing like going to class with Carmen Salvino!  Lectures by Mo Pinel, Dr. Dean Hinitz, Dr. Jeff Briggs, Ron Hatfield, Rod Ross and many others.  Food was by most of the ball companies.
