For the past 6 months or so, theres been little like lines of blood under my middle finger nail.  whenever i cut the nail, the blood sticks to it and there is almost a calus under it. what causes it? is it a pitch problem? also, my nail grows wavey, is that normal? and what should i do? i bowl probably 30 games a week including leagues. should i cut down? (i'm 15) or should i look into having my balls repitched?

as stupid as it sounds, wavy fingernails is from lack of milk, or calcium I believe. As for the blood, well....yes that sounds like a pitch problem. Most likely you need more forward/reverse pitch.

Give us some idea of what your finger pitches are now, if you use finger grips (and if so are they the type that add forward pitch), and how flexible your last finger joints are and we can do a better job with suggestions.  --  JohnP

i think my pitch is either 0 or 1/8 (if that makes sence) but for surely i'll ask my proshop guru for the right answer.  i love bowling, and i don't want to slow down lol.  yes, the 'injury' if you want to call it that, came from bowling. going on vacation saturday, so it'll give it some time to heal (and lose my caluses???). as for the wavey nails, that pretty simple to fix, i'll drink some more milk and eat my wheaties from now on.  thanks a bunch dudes, i'll have my pitch posted by 4 PM (west coast time), but i have to be in bed by like 8 cause of the flight time. so please try to answer before i leave. thx.

Most problems like this are due to spans being too long not pitch issues.
