Anyone throw 2-handed and 1-handed?
« on: January 09, 2011, 09:44:50 AM »
So, I am a one-handed bowler, but often practice 2-handed. I have used it the leagues in question on a couple occasions where I was just lost one-handed and it has turned some 550 series into 650 in this house. Anyways, I am seriously considering making the switch in this league and stay one-handed in my other leagues. I have a very inconsistent ball reaction in this league and the shot for most people seems to be pretty easy. There are a few of us in the league that average 215-220 in most houses then come here and just can't get a consistent reaction. It seems you have to be a straight player or be rev dominant to bowl well here. So this is making me think I should go two-handed here. Just wondering if anyone else switches back and forth between the two? And what draw backs they might see and if it affects their one-handed game switching all the time?

I have switched back and forth in league a couple times but never consistently two handed in one house and one handed in others. It really comes down to timing. If your timing is drastically different between the two styles, that might be your only concern. Otherwise there shouldn't be too much of a problem...

I do. Im one handed in league during the Winter and use two hands during the summer leagues on long patterns such as PBA shots. I also used two hands last year during our state tournament.

Sometimes I do 2 handed on the left lane and 1 handed on the right lane. I'm right handed. Other times I'll flip the ball on the right lane.   I just use whatever is giving me the best look.  I was originally a 1 hander but switched 1.5 years ago.   I prefer 2 handed as it's more fun. My avg ranges from 216-230.   2 separate houses using the same technique

High game 300 x2, 299, 298(no middle finger) 290, 290(no middle finger)
2 handed 300, 259, 245 804
2 handed 299
High series 804, 800, 804
High triplicate 774
High average 221
best game. when I was 6 I bowled a 158

I have a 16# morich awesome finish I want to trade.  1 season on it.    I am looking for 15# stuff
