The Gear core that is at the heart of the Toxin is also the core used in the GT1.
The thing that I think fools people is yes it has low differential for a modern core at approximately 0.034 (15 lb), but at the same time the RG value is on the low end 2.48.
So what I see from these numbers is a very fast revving move in the front part of the lane and a smoother, more subtle transition down lane. I think that we are so used to seeing these big low RG asymmetrical cores rev up and flip that when something is a bit smoother in the same RG class it tricks one's eyes.
