Anyone try using there ring finger and pinky

in the finger holes? I assume the results would be a weaker ball release but just wondering.

I actually used to do this to pick up the 10 pin when i did not have a spare

THere is a real strong bowler around here that does it!

Fires a hell of ball.  Strong rotation and hook.

I have done it when the lanes get dry to cut back on some revs. I bowl no thumb anyway.

One of the guys at my house does it.  His hands are HUGE.  I think it's more of the fact that he literally wraps his hand around the ball that he is able to produce ridiculous amounts of rotation.
