Free bowling balls....

Now that I got your attention...

With so many bowling balls given away to PBA members and Amateur reps, how does that increase the price we pay? Are you fed up with the bowling ball company profit margins?

It's just a marketing expense for the company.  If they don't give representatives balls to throw, they'll just spend that same amount of money on other forms of advertising that are probably less effective and will give them less return on investment, which will result in less profit for the company, which means they'll probably have to try charging even more for their bowling balls to make up the difference.  How's that sound?

First of all with the internet and other deals who is still paying 200+ for a bowling ball. 2nd i agree with everyone on the benefit of marketing. Its cheap marketing. They give out some balls and this allows most of us to see the ball in action. what is more helpful, just reading the specs online and what it "can" and "should" do, or watching the ball roll down the lane. I would be more inclined to buy a ball after i have seen it in action that in a commercial or reading about it.
