Anyone using the 3 point targeting system
« on: June 30, 2009, 09:42:59 AM »
Anyone using the 3 point targeting system and quiet eye technique that Joe Slowinski is teaching?  I've been testing it and when it works it is awesome.  Problem is I have a few bugs in it.

Jess

I tried today for the first time.  I guess I am one of those that is really fast and lack patience.  When following my line back and counting I seem to rush a bit.    I think I like it but it is going to take a while to get comfortable with.  The other problem I am having is figuring out the distance quickly.

It was a little tough for me to slow down enough to use it the first time. But you kind of need that. The fact that it forces you to be disciplined in the way you start your approach will only help over time. A pull far fewer shots these days than I ever did before.

Yes I use it,Coach Bill Hall worked with me on this targeting system in 2001,2003 and 2005,just used a different name. This system just helps you get lined up quicker, which in turn wastes less frames trying to find the correct target, break point and exit point. This system takes a lot of the guess work of lining up.
