Are there any bowling balls in Ebonite's 4 brands that is similar to the Storm Ride? All of the "low end stuff" appears to be alot stronger than the Ride.

The Cyclone pearls are roughly similar to the Ride.
The Deep Freezes may also wind up similar but not identical to the Ride.
Slightly milder drillings would probably bring them very close for most styles of bowler. Fairly sure about the Cyclone, since I have both. The DFs, being milder than the Cyclone, might even be closer than the Cyclones to the Ride.

Are the layouts on your Cyclone and Ride similar?
I also noticed the Cyclone and GB2 series covers are named the same (10.7). That made me think the Cyclone was more of a medium type ball eventhough the cores are different. Unless the GB2 series is weaker than I thought. I've been a Storm/Rg guy for a while and I wanted to try some of EBI's products. So I'm not very familiar with what fits were through out the 4 brands strength wise.

why not just get buy a ride. if you like the ball and it fits your game, and it's still in production, why switch

I actually have a Ride, but I'm wanting to play around with some EBI stuff and would like to find something similar within EBI's brands.

One of my Cyclones (yellow/red pearl) is very similar to that of my Ride, just slightly weaker (5" pin-PAP vs 4.5" pin-PAP. This is is why I said that they can be made very close by drillings. The Cyclone is maybe 1-2 boards more in overall hook, for me
I have another older Cyclone drilled weaker and it is stronger than the 2nd Cyclone because I believe the first is actually a solid. The newer Cyclones "SEEM" to be pearl or pearlized. The Older one is definitely earlier and has more overall hook even though it is drilled weaker.

If you want something similar to a ride, make sure you have it drilled weaker than your Ride was drilled.
