Are blems legal?

Another stupid question--

Picked up a Bonanza blem the other day-- Track Rule.

What play is this ball legal for?  (All the weights are legal so its just the fact that it has a long pin)

ABC (aka USBC)?
PBA?
Nothing?

Yes blems are legal for USBC play.  I've heard of some being out of round though, and I'm thinking those might not be legal.  It can be a real challenge to get these balls to within legal static weights, but it can be done.

I don't think a PBA member would use one though, especially since most are company sponsored.

Not true, user brunsRich has said in the past that the ball is affected by the color. If it is a huge color blem, then there might be a very large difference in reaction. The reason for this is that to get certain pigments, the chemical formulation of the pigment has to be changed, which can create larger pores/have the same effect as pearlization in some cases.
