This is a post we need. No matter who you are, you initially fell in love with bowling because it was fun. Days where you couldn't wait to get to the center, do work, have fun.
For me, when I am in a center, I am in another place than where I am outside in the world. The parameters of what I'm supposed to do are the same, playing field is similar, and there is an air of mystery as to what invisible obstacles there are out there beyond the foul line. In an uncertain world, the confines of a center were somewhat certain for me. The silence before the machines come on. The sound of one person practicing off to the side of the counter. Warning up, placing your stuff on the rack, getting your tools ready for another go at it.
Politics is what has soured us on bowling, not bowling itself.
I need to go to the center today.
