With all the talk from differet people here, myself included, about lanes being either "too dry" or "too oily", a question comes to mind.
Are we all really playing the same game?
While "BOB" in Tucson is throwing a highly aggressive ball up the ten board on "his" condition, "TED" in Philadelphia is swinging a mild ball from inside the third arrow.
I know that all the EQUIPMENT is within specs (lanes, balls, pins, etc..), but is it really the same unless we're ALL playing the same condition, at least within given parameters?
Do we need to have strict limits on lane conditions to ensure that things are as equitable as possible, or is having 99% of bowlers playing some variation of RED, WHITE, or BLUE good enough?
