Prediction and Poll
« on: August 22, 2004, 09:57:49 AM »
What will be the most used and talked about ball of 2004-2005? Which is the most versatile? Best bang for the buck?

Trying to get an idea from you guys so I know what to put on my shelves to start the season...

I am thinking the following look promising:

AMF Titan
Brunswick Nemesis
Columbia Bully
Ebonite Showtime Pearl
Hammer Switch Blade
Storm ReCharge
Track Freak A Zoid

Opinions????

Yeah guys our lanes here are not conducive to anything dull in any way shape or form. In fact the only non-polished balls being thrown are the old Blue and Black Hammers, Turbos and a Beast now and then.

We have a few guys with Deuces but they have high ball speed and like no hand. I am quite comfy even with my higher ball speed (17-18 is high for the area) with polished pearl stuff.

Big time adult bumper bowling scenario here....38 feet of the great wall of china is our lane condition. 55 units between 15 and 15, 42 from 15 to 8. Outside 8 we might have 5 if we are lucky.....

See what I mean?

for whatever reason, layout, coverstock, weight block, no ball has ever given me a higher strike percentage (espeically on non-perfect releases) than the RotoGrip Apocalypse. I think sometimes bowlers simply match up to equipment. Conversely, no ball has ever given me a less strike percentage than the original Brunswick Inferno and the 2nd Brunswick Inferno. It would be hard for me to ever consider another brunswick ball after the dismal performances I have had with those. (However, the Ulitmate Inferno is starting to call me...)
