I have a pretty decent arsenal now for anything I see. I have the following: Virtual Gravity, Critical Theory, Hy-Road, Lights Out, Scream, Red Hammer Urethane, Taboo Spare. However, I still want to have a piece desigbed to cover boards. I want it to be around the strength of my Hy-Road, but desinged for backend. My Lights Out is close, but I prefer it for more of a wet/dry condition. I want to use a strong layout as well. I was thinking about the Hy-Road Pearl and the Wrecker. Maybe even something strong drilled weaker. I am open to all brands. Also, What is the Eruption pro set up to do and how does it compare to the Eruption (Original)?

From what I've read and heard the Track 400a se would be a good choice for a ball with backend.

The Eruption Pro works really well on Medium to lighter Medium conditions. I picked one up because it uses Columbia's tried and true Resurgence core -- one of my favorite of all time.
If you're on a condition where you can find some friction, you'll have fun with this ball. It's smooth through the heads and makes a strong controlled move off the friction. There are a lot of pearl balls on the market that do basically the same thing, but I personally prefer a solid cover when there is a choice. Overall, they're more predictable.
It's a good choice to consider.

Eruption Pro sounds pretty interesting. How does it compare to a Tropical Heat Solid?

Hyroad Pearl goes sideways for me. As much back end as any ball out there. Awesome ball that is pretty damn versatile.

I want this ball to go sideways. I know it sounds strange for a two-handed bowler to want a ball to go sideways at the break point. But keep in mind I am very versatile. A ball with this motion is still necessary. I don't know if I want to go with an earlier motion because the ball can still recover being a pearl bowling ball. If I went with a drilling for the mid-lane, it would overlap with my Critical Theory. I also don't want a dart. I will seek help from someone else, but any ideas would be helpful.

to be successful on all types of conditions, the last piece i want in my bag is anything that goes sideways.
predictable motion is what is preferable, it doesn't look as cool - but hey, what do i know

I have 4 smooth pieces. Not goood when I need something to corner...
