Arsenal gap question??????
« on: June 03, 2005, 03:01:23 PM »
I am starting to wonder if I will have the right equipment for next season as I am joining a team that bowls in a known easy house, on synthetic lanes that tend to break down rather quick per game.  I normally bowl on wood lanes in my other leagues, & do some tournaments.  Is there a gap that I might want to fill in with either a Brunswick or Storm ball?

In the bag for leagues on wood lanes;
Ultimate Inferno
Absolute Inferno
Vertigo
Zone Classic
Target Zone

in the closet;
X-Factor - Original
Tornado
Cherry Bomb Carbide/r

Sorry if I offend any other companies, but I have had the most success
with Brunswick & Storm.
What am I lacking, & where?

I Absolutely LOVE my Ultimate Inferno, but Ultimately I LOVE my Absolute Inferno!

Bowling is more fun when you only have to throw 1 ball..........F*#k the 10 pin!!

I see some empty space in the area for drier conditions and med/dry conditions

What do you recommend?  I know you are a Track guy, but I'm curious as to what options I have from any company.

For dry conditions I think the obvious choice would be the new release from Brunswick....Power Groove Dry/r.

Even thought it is Ebonite...you could probably fit that Tornado in there also.

Is that the only obvious gap?  It seems to me that the way my Classic is drilled, it hooks almost as much as my Absolute Inferno does on the drier conditions.

I see that as the most OBVIOUS gap. I would think that you could use the other equipment to cover most other conditions. Adding the P.G. Dry/R would be a must. For between that and the Classic Zone you have a ton of options. If it were me, I would probably just pick up a Punisher and drill it weak. With the addition of those 2 you would have a full arsenal in my opinion. You definately have the med/heavy to heavy conditions covered.
