720's ---> to 500. I hate that.

Boy does this irritate me. Back to Back 720s then a 500 series. 10 splits in 2 games. I guess that is a good reality check.

I thought only golf was that brutal.

Golf and bowling can both be a cruel mistress at times.  Recently a guy (middle aged -- not a hot-headed  "kid"-- no slurs intended at anyone) recently pitched all four of his balls in the trash after a particularly disappointing performance in a big money league on Sunday morning --- thankfully one of his buddies "rescued" the equipment.  He was ready for it again after about three days........Don't be too hard on yourself -- even the guys who do this for a living have "off" days-- I'm sure Tiger Woods wasn't thrilled with his performance last week, either --- By his standards, I'm sure he felt the same as if he had just bowled a "500"

I had two nights this year when 500 would have been an improvement!!  :

You are just plain terrible.  You would think someone would take your ball out of the back of the lanes to check it to see how you ever shot 700 or 800 for that matter.    

How has your year gone besides the recent downfall???

Thanks for the kind words. I'm sitting at 219 on Tuesday. Trying to make it to 220 by year end. That easy shot at North. Both my teams are falling apart. I might be looking for a friday spot at cloverleaf next year.

How the season going for you?

Been a great year here for me.  3 300's 1 299 1 294 1 295(oops on both of them )  3 800's    Right now I am 233 on Sunday, 230 on Tuesday, and 220 on Friday.  Just crazy to be honest.  And still a few weeks to go.

I had a year where when I threw my first 2 700's back to back I had 2 weeks before it that were 450 and 480. You never know what will pull you out of a slump- but I think in this case having a 2 hour coaching session with my college bowling coach pulled my head in the right direction and I ended up averaging 210 for the first time in my life.

Went 521 to 728 in back to back weeks----talk about confused!!!!!!!!!
 But I look at it this way..........
 That's why it's called an average!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
