Arsenal Help
« on: December 18, 2015, 04:07:08 PM »
Ok so originally i was trying to fill in gaps but ultimately with some of the older stuff it's simply hard to compare to current ratings and videos so I'm a bit lost and want to simply things a bit. I bowl in a rather dry house with wood lanes but plan to play more tournaments which would be on brunswick synthetics at most houses. I have the following the old stuff has a number of games on it and whether it's in my mind or in reality many of the old balls seem to just not carry as well.

I'm thinking of the following for a starting arsenal if I go DV8

Thug Corrupt - own (currently have it polished)
Vandal
Hooligan Taunt
Tropical Storm- Own
Spare Ball- own

I'd like to keep it within one family so either brunswick/dv8/radical, or roto-grip Storm

The other option would be a roto/storm line I currently have the Roto Hysteria and the tropical Storm

I have the following other balls Brunswick Zone Classic, C300 Super Trooper, Storm Ragin Banshee, C300 Wrath XP.

Hey Big_bg,

Sounds like you have a good idea with what you want and need. I have just recently signed with DV8 and have great transition with their new stuff. I also have a Corrupt, which is definitely the strongest in my bag. I drilled it that way. Earliest and strongest. Then I step down to the Thug Life and its a good step two. Vandal is 3rd and then my brand new DV8 Deviant, the Deviant is brand new and has great predictability. Symmetrical and sits right in the middle of my bag. Sounds like you could use that ball to transition from the Vandal to the Tropical storm. It will fill the gap very well for transitioning and ball changes.

Any other questions or input I can help with feel free to message.
