So I've had my NVD for a long time now and it's my main bowling ball. But there's a problem. Mine died. I tried reviving it with the hot water method but... no oil came out. I have given my NVD (and other bowling balls) the hot water bath many times before and oil always came out... until recently. I've already left it in hot water twice for about half an hour and both times no oil came out. Any suggestions?

And no, don't suggest the Rejuvenator or such devices because I cannot find them around here.

I've used the Ebonite hook again system with good success. You can buy it online.

Try the dishwasher on the wash cycle but no dry cycle. I t fixed up my Total NV and my Twisted Fury.

If you were using it at factory OOB then make sure you take it back to 2000 grit abralon and reapply the Powerhouse Factory Finish polish. If not make sure you take it back to the grit level being used after the hot water bath bath is completed. After a period of use, coverstocks end up at around 600 grit and won't perform as well at that level when their peak performance is at higher grit levels.

I just did the dishwasher method, both of my bowling balls came out very good looking, really dull. I took them down to 320grit valentino pad. I think it worked better the the bucket method.

If you use the bucket method with the water running, should i be putting any soap/dawn in the bucket? I had lots of oil come out of all the balls I did. I took the ball out of the water and cleaned it with alcohol. Is this right? What can I do better?
