B'wick Power Groove Pearl vs Hammer Blue Vibe?
« on: October 12, 2008, 11:32:36 AM »
Anyone use both with similar drillings?
How do they compare?

I have both but not with similar drills. Funny, as I'm almost slightly afraid to see what their differences might be. I use the BV in the 3rd and 4th games of one league (Guardian overlay in first 3o ft., pine in the back 30 ft) and I use the PG when there's been an earlier league on our pair in another house (Brunswick AnvilLanes). Both do fairly well in each house.

The PG has the pin over the ring finger. The BV has the pin next to the ring finger. Of course, I have to try them in the same house soon ....

I have had both.  The Blue Vibe is quite a bit stronger than the PG.  I believe that the Vibe handles a little more oil as I tended to have alot of over/under with the PG.  The Vibe seems to handle carrydown a little better.  I had both with the pin above the bridge and cg under the ring (5 1/2 by 5 layout) for me.

Steve,

Thansk for the reply.
I wonder if it would make a difference with the old PG: I have the old supposedly "stronger" Ice Blue PG, the one that never sold well.
