Association / Board of Directors
« on: February 28, 2010, 10:43:25 AM »
Hello all,
The question I have is this:
Can you be a active member of a association and board of directors without being a USBC sanctioned person.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts....

PS- I have flipped the the rule book, but of course to no avail, and of course I tried looking for it on the new "bowl.com" fiasco.....

If it is a USBC-chartered association, obviously you must be a dues-paying member in order to serve on the board of directors.

Was Stu Upson, CEO of USBC, a dues paying member when he took over the position?

Upson may not have been a previous member but he would have to be now.

So he would be the one listed from Dallas?  The only other one listed is from NY and on the USBC bio of him, it said he currently lives in New Canaan, Conn.

If that is him, it took awhile before he decided to join.
