There is no "Fremont" county in California.
Sorry, you're right. I meant to say Alameda. My bad.
Anywho, talked to a PSO today who runs a standalone shop in Sacramento, and got a bit more of the lowdown of what's going to happen here.
Some alleys are getting around the shutdown by adding a room with refrigeration so they can sell essentials and prepared meals according to the state's mandate, so their business can be classified as "essential" (they are selling the right products to meet that classification), so they can open up.
Apparently, Lake Bowl in Folsom has been doing this since March or April, so they have been open ever since.
Foothills Bowl in Auburn isn't going to open, despite the fact that the county is in orange so they could open up. Apparently, the average age of the patrons there is between 60 and 65, and the owner really doesn't want to risk that being shut down again. His take on it is that if everything else gets shut down again, at least we'll have a sterile place to go.
Fireside Lanes is done with their remodeling, though there are a couple more cosmetic things they are working on. New lanes, new settee area, new pin deck, new pinsetters, etc. They are going to try to open, despite us being in Red, but open to only "private parties". Steve basically doesn't have much of a choice, because of him bleeding money from everything. I don't know if him opening and possibly getting shut down again will impact what the PWBA wants to do, but he'll cross that road when he gets to it.
Mardi Gras Lanes (or whatever they are called now) won't be opening anytime soon. They'll have to wait for state mandate, as they have some other financial issues to deal with.
Country Club Lanes is just waiting for the county to turn orange. As they own the land and the building around them, they know they'll make up the money just in parties and open play.
Strikes Elk Grove (now called "The Alley") won't be opening anytime soon. They're stuck waiting on the state and the county.
NuGeneration Lanes in Yuba City is open, despite being Sutter County being in Red. I don't know how or why; don't shoot the messenger.
Beale Lanes (Beale AFB) is open, but they are letting the county take the lead on their status, despite being the AFB. Yuba County (where Beale and Marysville are located) are in the Red.
Going south, everything in San Joaquin county (read: Stockton) is still out.
Further south than that, Valley bowl in Madera is open - to a degree - even though Madera county is in Purple (widespread). They are letting kids come in - controlled - as the school district is allowing bowling to be used for Physical Education class. So they have a way to open there, but I don't know how they are getting paid for it. The same is happening in Turlock as well.
That's all I know for the entire Central California valley.
