attn: all BTM readers
« on: June 22, 2005, 08:01:45 AM »
im reading the article about approaches on page 36-40. WHen i get to page 38 i realize that there is a type-o. Now, this is a very disturbing type-o. For all BTM owners, you can find this type-o on page 38, third paragraph on the right hand side next to Pete Webers picture. Ive taken the time to scan this part of the article into the computer and i will post it here.

Take a look, tell me what you SEE...

You DO realize chink isn't just a racial slur, but also a normal word?  It is fine and fits perfectly.

Your lack of a strong vocabulary is the only reason you seem to see a typo there.

Main Entry: chink
Pronunciation: 'chi[ng]k
Function: noun
Etymology: probably alteration of Middle English chine crack, fissure
1 : a small cleft, slit, or fissure
2 : a weak spot that may leave one vulnerable
3 : a narrow beam of light shining through a chink

aka... a weak spot

^^^^^^^wow...beaten 4 fold^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm assuming that you don't realize chink is a real word & not just an ethnic slur.

From dictionary.com:

Chink Pronunciation Key  (chngk)
A narrow opening, such as a crack or fissure.

The funniest part is that I can see you "OMFG! They wrote Chink... LOL".

Unfortunately J_Mac is right, it doesn't prove they messed up, but rather that you don't pay much attention to vocabulary.

Hmm, I put it in the wrong spot.  I should have put it at the end of the sentence.  It's not unfortunate you're correct, it's unfortunate he has a poor vocabulary.  Looks like I proved I have a poor sense of sentence structure.

And yes bowlerkidr, I knew it meant that.  That's why I didn't reply saying "OMGORZ LOL THEY SAID A BAD WORD HEEEHEEEE!!!111"
