Good Pro shop in Kentucky,Northern Ohio?
« on: August 30, 2004, 12:47:29 AM »
Hello all, I am currently looking to redo my whole arsenal and possibly my wifes and am looking for a good pro shop/driller in my area. I live in central Kentucky and would like to find one within a couple of hours drive if possible. I don't mind buying the balls at the shop if the prices are fair and the driller is good or can purchase via internet if they don't stock allot of balls. If anybody is around my area and has any suggestions let me know.

Thanks, John Cooksey

If you come to Cincinnati area I have three

Hitts Pro Shop in Northern Ky (859-431-3136, Ask for Josh and tell him Don Daniels sent you). Hitts is in a bowling center so you can try out the stuff quickly.

Cincinnati area
World of Bowling (513-793-3700).  Dave Kreuter and Doug Henderson have YEARS of experience and are great guys. (Dave actually works the ABC every year).

Strikeline Pro Shop (513-923-4800) Stock is a bit less than the other two but he really knows his stuff about drillings and arsenals.  (He may need a day to get you the balls you want, so call ahead).

In Lexington, KY, the pro shop at Eastland Lanes is the best.  Chip Aki runs the pro shop and knows his stuff.  Prices are decent and Chip will not try to sell you a $225 ball when a $165 ball is a better fit.  I would highly recommend going there, especially since you sound like you are pretty close.  Send me a PM if you want more info.  Good luck!
