Looking for a Ball to play outside line
« on: January 24, 2006, 05:10:47 AM »
I am looking for a ball where I can play the outside line.  Long and strong.  My revs seem to more than my speed and my pap is 5 1/4 over and 1 up and looking to cover Med/heavy to heavy conditions.  Something I can play more straight up the boards.  Any suggestions would be greatly apprecieted.

My all time fav for playing the twig is my Silver Buzzsaw (with a sort of exotic layout).  Very long, then left turn clyde.  I doubt if you can find an original Silver anymore (wasn't real thrilled with my later Silver, but that probably had more to do with layout than ball), but if you can you won't be sorry.  Message me if you want info about layout.

You have plenty enough balls already that should handle med-med heavy just maybe need a re-drill putting pin in a flare dercreasing area. (Either short or long on Pin to PAP distance) Brian Omara is a fellow BR member here and believe he is still at Olympic.

i have never been one to buy bowling balls to play a certain area of the lane. i prefer using speed control, different releases, and angle of attack.

You cna adjust, but the best ball for playing outsied line on med-heavy would have to be a Dyno-Thane Energy...that's exactly what it's made for.

... and the outside line isn't always the best way to play the lane.  You need to take what the conditions give you.  Assuming that you have a ball that rolls early  and that you have a ball that rolls later, you already have all the equipment you need to play an outside line if the conditions are conducive to doing so.
