Average Question
« on: March 30, 2007, 03:52:46 AM »
Last month I joined a team to replace someone who had to leave due to illness.  My average on that league is 206 I will probably wind up with about 35 games in that league this season.  On my main league that I have bowled on all year I currently average 195 and will end up with about 90 games.  Say they both stayed the same at the end of the year which one would be my yearbook average.  Does the 21 game rule take effect here.  Thoughts and comments appreciated.

21 games is 21 games.  Doesn't matter if you sub every one of 'em, or sub for a while and then join, or bowled the whole year.  Your local association's books will show both the 195 and 206, as will the USBC website.  Your card, however, should show 206.

I think any avg. over 21 games is considered "official".  For reporting purposes like leagues or tourneys, I think you have to use the highest avg. over 21 games.
