Playing at the line . . .
« on: July 27, 2006, 02:31:04 AM »
What are the pros and cons, if any, with playing right at the foul line?  Two to three inches behind vs 1/2 to a foot behind the foul line.  Most of the top bowlers that I watch in my area play right at the foul line.

if your foot can go right up to the line, assuming you let go of your ball at the very bottom of the downswing it will assure the cleanest and smoothest release in terms of how the ball contacts the lane.

The closer you are to the foul line the sooner the ball will start to roll instead of "skid"
