AZ State Tournament 14-15 June
« on: June 11, 2003, 08:26:07 PM »
Is anybody else going to be at the AZ State Tournament this weekend?  I will be travelling up to the Phoenix area for the team event on 14 June at 1200 and then singles/doubles on 15 June at 0830am.

Balltester, sent you a message.

Leftside, I heard that Kyrene was a bit dry.  That is usually my downfall.  Will be going to Kyrene after we bowl team on Sat to try to get some practice on their condition (or lack of)

I plan on bringing my Glowing Amulet and Green Gargoyle.  Think those will do?

From a few of the bowlers from SV that went up there last week, they said the lanes were hooking but scoring.  Everyone I spoke to averaged over 200.  Probably like talking to people who go to Vegas, everyone's a winner.

I obviously won't be bowling, but I have never witnessed a tournament before sounds like it would be fun to go watch. I will probably go to the Sunday tournament.

The tournament runs until 29 June, every weekend I think.  So you can catch the bowling at each house either Sat or Sunday.  Dont know when the last squad for each day is since I do not have a copy of the entry form.  I also do not know which lanes I am assigned until I get there.  On Sunday I will probably wear a black shirt with the BallReviews.com logo on it.

Leftside, I bowl on the wrongside, the weaker side.

I just bowled this past weekend.  Didnt do too good.  shot 639 for team at Country Club, and terrible at Kyrene.  Kyrene was SO DRY!  I was throwing my Too Hot, standing on 60, throwing right between the 6-7 arrows, and getting out to 10-13.  That was the only place that I could find oil in the heads.

I never measured the space between lanes (2 gutters), but by standing on "60", you'd be between 10 and 15 on the next lane???  You'd have to loft quite a bit to even hit your own lane.
