Fried =...Phantom?
« on: January 14, 2014, 05:37:58 AM »
Last night, great shot during warm ups. Had about 7 in a row during practice and first ball in game 1.  Then, with the humidity from this warm up we are having (and I think a changed house shot) the shot did not hold.  Shot a 125 first game, trying to decide if it was the ball, or me, balled down from the Hyper Cell the Totally Defiant (yes, it's a ball down with the characteristics of the cover) and knew in the 7th frame of game 2 I had nothing with me to tangle with the conditions.  So, I grabbed a Red Phantom off the house ball rack, which eerily fits me like a glove, saved game two for a 172 with it.   I then proceeded to run Front 4, tug - split, X X, 10 pin, X XX9  for a 244 with it.

I'm really strongly thinking about putting my inserts in it, and putting it in my bag....

Sounds like you tore the pattern apart with the Hyper Cell. I drilled the first one we had for a buddy of mine last week and it doesn't take long to blow the pattern up with that ball. In a matter of 5 shots, he and another friend had to move 4/2 off the spot he created, and this particular house actually had oil.

It was house wide inconsistency.  I used the Hyper on Saturday for 8 games and never came close to using up the lanes.  Sunday the house had too much oil, nothing could really turn.  Last night they fried, But you put it too far out and you're a wash out.
