Rectal cancer last year and cheno daily for 6 weeks, radiation daily for 6 weeks, then surgery twice for removal of most of rectum, then chemo for 4 months and finally I thought the worse was over, but no, back problems developed. Fought it for 3 months or so and finally had both a cat scan and bone scan which showed compressed fractures of my L1 & L5 vertabrae. So, Monday surgery on my back to fix the 2 fractures as well as do a biopsy to check for bone cancer.
It doesn't seem to end. I have only been able to bowl approx 11 times all year.
Dr says I will have to drop to 12# balls after surgery if I want to bowl.
