backend on oil
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:49:47 AM »
I am looking for a ball with good backend finish on a medium to heavy oil pattern. I have a mission, and a 715c and neither of them finish strong enough, i am left handed throw around 15-17 mph with decently high revs. Please post if you have any ideas for me thank you for your help.

why not change the surface of either ball first and see what that does ?

if wanting another ball, why not talk to  your local Pro Shop and explain to what you currently have and what you are wanting the next ball to do ?

Agree with both, while I'd suspect that you'd get sold another high end piece which will not react the way you want - or if you get back end, it will probably hard to control on higher/longer volumes.
I'd avocate surface and release adjustments first, too, and maybe accept to play just what and where the lanes allow you to play? If you score well with any of your mentioned balls, I do not see the point in buying another one just for a "pretty hook"?

Do you exactly mean medium to heavy oil as in units or length of the pattern. These things are sometimes used when they are different. But still to compat the problem you dont want the ball to be really angular off a high oil or long oil pattern. you want to get the ball into a roll. Like the other suggest, Id add a little surface and get the ball to roll more and not try to be so skit flippy
