NO, baking a ball is the worst way of extracting oil possible. The heat from the oven can cause core/coverstock separation and also the ball my "bleed" out plasticizers which aid in a ball to grip the lane. The safest way(s) to do this at home are either use the dishwasher without the dry cycle or submerge the ball in a bucket of hot tap water and degreasing detergent like dawn. Remove every 15 minutes and wipe with a ball cleaner. Repeat as necessary. Once finished, allow 24 hours for ball to dry before using it again!!
