Title: balance hole
Post by: djazmin on July 30, 2003, 09:23:16 PM
Is it possible to change the way the ball hooks (get more hook) when you move the balance hole (that is fill the existing hole and drill a new one)?
One pro shop told me it will, another pro shop told me it will not.

Yes, for balls, whose core has enough flare potential (RG differential in the .040 and greater range), if you put the hole 2 1/2 to 3 1/2" directly below your PAP (given that there's enough weight to be removed by the process), the ball will flare more and earlier and the bowtie will move upwards. The ball will hook earlier and more.
