Weight holes

What size of weight hole does what? What's a balls reaction with a small hole compared to a larger hole? What about the depth of the hole, I've never really asked anyone this and I'm curious how it changes a balls reaction.

I don't know the exact spot but there's a grip load of stuff on weight holes and links to stuff about weight holes if you look in the archives under drilling and layouts
