Ball choice advice
« on: March 14, 2005, 10:40:19 AM »
Hey,
I am new on this site and was hoping to get some advice on ball selections.i need new equipment.Have been using the same balls for about 4 yrs.I am currently starting to bwl in tournaments and feel I could do a lot better with new equipment.I bowl straight down the 5-9 board and have snap at the break point. All I have bowled in are local tourns.i am about to bowl in the State and southeastern tourns!i feel these houses will have their lanes drenched for these big tourns.i would like a ball(or balls) that will work in heavy oil but still let me throw down and in.I don't throw with a lot of revs.I guess I am pretty much a stroker by nature.Any help would be much appreciated.
          Thanks.

I cant answer your question with that info, but i can tell you that if you give a few details about speed and number of rotations your ball might do before it hits the pins, the gurus in here could guide you better. Being a stroker your natural shot will be down and in with most equipment, so if we knew how firm your shot is ball choice and layouts are made much easier.
