Ball choice - up the boards
« on: December 28, 2003, 06:51:16 PM »
I haven't been able to play any line to the right of the third arrow for quite a while. Ever since I've discovered how to rev the ball consistently, my equipment has just been too strong for the medium conditions I normally bowl on. I throw about 15.5 mph, medium-high revs, more than average axis rotation.

If there is plenty of head oil, the balls I use now do well up until the 4th or 5th game - then they all hook in the heads. Right now I'm throwing a Blade Solid (thumb leverage, I think), a heat 2 pearl (4x4, also strong) and an Eraser drilled label. I am so used to playing deep lines, so can anyone suggest a ball that can hold its line when the lanes break down? Any manufacturer is fine.

My Power charge does just what your looking for. pin under ring finger cg in palm below midline. thats all this does on medium house shot is up and in.
but i would also look at a monster slayer, XXL or XXXL, Sonic X , Dry heat (though ive read more people say that ball hooks)

Any label drilled plastic or urethane works well. Doubles as a spare ball too.
