Pro Release Wrist Device
« on: September 30, 2010, 01:39:46 PM »
Since I started using this wrist device, I have been having an on and off again problem with dropping the ball.  I use the short one and keep it perfectly straight.  I seem to lose the ball as it approaches my sliding foot.  I have tried span and pitch changes and just about every type of tape on the market, including magic carpet.  With the tape, I either drop the ball or launch it into the air.  When I have someone watch me, they say my hand is behind the ball and they see no problems, although I drop the ball.  Guess the easiest thing to do is not use it, but I do like the way it feels when I do not drop it.  The only thing I can think, is that my thumb is straight down at the bottom of my swing and the ball just wants to fall.  Does this make sense to anyone ?  Does anyone else have this problem with this device ?  One more thing, I can go for months without dropping the ball, but when I start, its hard to correct.
