Currently Residing in Splitsville
« on: August 12, 2004, 07:55:36 AM »
I've seem to have fallen in a radical slump as of lately!!!  I seemed to have moved into a crappy town that I'd like to call Splitsville.  In the past few weeks I have thrown more splits than I have in my whole life.  No adjustments that I know of seem to be working.  Any suggestions or should I just keep grinding away untill I pull outa this slump?????

I guess it's hard to say what needs to be worked on, do you know what the oil pattern is like that you are bowling on, as well as what you've been using and the lines you've been playing on this? Sometimes I find myself in splitsville when I try to force the ball into the pocket rather than letting it naturally come off my hand. I have a bad habit when the lanes are a little oily to want to tug the ball over to the pocket. If it's a 1 or 2 board tug, I usually stay away from the split- but if it's 3 to 5 boards, I can count on a big 4, a 4-6 or a 7-10...
