Because 99.9% of the time fingertip grips have finger grips and/or slugs. Putting grips in, installing slugs takes more time and extra drilling which can be extra opportunity for mistakes. More work, more money. Also, generally most conventional grips are on plastic balls. If I charged $60 to drill the conventional, then a Target Zone, Maxim, White Dot would cost $120, how am I going to sell that? I'm currently switching over to ala carte pricing, so that the cost of a plastic ball will be about $89 drilled.
