 I think he left out a important piece of information.

What was the "certain cleaner" that Caused all the balls to "shine up a bit" and lose thier hook? In the first place?

I will say that I had issues very similar to those mentioned here when I had samples of those cleaners that came in the black bottles a few years back....I think their company was bought out by one of the big guys....wink wink......
 
Not hatin'....just sayin'......
 
The best performing cleaners I have had in my shop over the last few years have been those from the small stand alone companies that don't even make bowling balls.....Zapp It, Revive from Kegel and most recently a cleaner called Tac Up has been producing some great results. I will admit though...I used to LOVE Clean N Dull when nit was the old Track branded product although it did alter the cover if you used it on a spinner....

Track Clean and Tacky was the best.
