Ball for an almost full roller
« on: February 05, 2004, 07:29:34 PM »
Hi guys ( A UK bowler here ),

A team-mate of mine bowls straight at the pocket from the far right of the lane, his hand is mostly behind the ball and hardly comes round the side and unless he gets it flush in the pocket he gets mostly 8's and 9's. I have suggested that he is not getting enough side rotation to get the appropriate pin action when he is not flush but he seems either to be convinced that he IS getting enough side rotation ( Which he is not ) or that he is unable to change his style.

If this is the case is there a ball that may help him? ( He bowls fairly fast ) I suggested that maybe a matt/sanded ball may help but I'm not sure which one exactly. Any help would be appricated guys )

Also any of you guys know what Marshall Holman is upto these days? I'm a big fan.
I would have got away with it if it was not for those pesky kids (Behind my lane) and those blasted 10 pins.
