I am looking for a dry lane ball for my daughter. I'm looking for opinions, and experiences. She in in the 10-11 mph range, about 200-250 revs, and a good deal of rotation.( she can open up and wheel the lane)Her high school team practices daily, and the lanes are toasty!!! I'm not looking to stay brand specific, that's why I posted on the misc. forum. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Something with a very low diff like the Brunswick Slingshot or Storm Tropical would be good.

My Slingshot is certainly a ball that needs friction. I haven't ran into the true burn since I have had it, however on lanes that everything else is too much, this ball gets me down the lane.

I have been through many of the balls out there for the dry
Im on an old wood lanes dry THS
#1 choice - original JET
#2 choice - blue hammer
#3 choice - 300T - long pin and weight hole on my axis
weakest to strongest,
blue hammer - polished
JET
300T
all are very predictable
The JET seems to work best with a little surface, even on the dry stuff im on

Personally,I've had luck with the Motiv Pearl Recon, but my daughter doesn't want one,as they're"stupid looking". Has any one used the Tropical Breezes, and if so, which of the three would be best for true toast?
-
According to the Storm website two are pearl reactives and one is a hybrid. All three are polished, Im guessing the hybrid can be adjusted to be stronger if needed.

The Slingshot, Breeze and Motiv Silver Recon pearl (RX-1) are the resin balls that seem to handle the driest of lane conditions before a polyester/plastic ball is needed.
The Breeze pearl and the Hybrid have more length and backend, in general than the Slingshot & the Motiv. The Slingshot and the Silver Recon are probably the most urethane-like in ball reaction.

Did they discontinue the Breeze Solid? Looks like they did. I've got to modify my reply ...
