Ball hits like a truck

I see that phrase all over this site. Having never been hit by a truck myself, I'm confused. What do trucks hit like, and, what kind of truck is it best to hit like? Is an S10 hit like an F150 hit? Should I go to a Dodge pro shop?

I've been hit like a truck.  (A Dodge, actually)  Trust me, it hurts.  A lot.

Probably one of the worst and most overused phrases on this site.  I always chuckle when I see it used.  Any ball hits a ton if you use it on the right condition and throw it half way decent.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will ever stop being used...since most of the people that use it are just regular bowlers who don't realise that it really doesn't describe how well the ball hits.

Did you mean,   it clears the heads, turns the corner, kicks out the ten pin, and then hits like a truck???

I prefer a Ford F150.

My F-250 hits like a truck.  But I used my Virtual yesterday for some practice & boy did that sucker hit like a truck.  Peoples heads were turning everytime I hit the pocket.  Holy sheet that ball has some monster carry.

C'mon, "Hits Like A Truck" is old.  The Brunswick Black Beauty "Hits Like A Truck".

These days, if it don't "Explode The Pins Like A Nuke" it ain't worth buying.

I have been hit by a Dodge myself. Heavy SOB's. If the balls crippled the pins like the truck did me for a while. We would all be shooting 900's.

No I don't say the ball hits like anything in any of my reviews.  It is a stupid comparison - especially since after all the tournaments and even watching pros, very few hit hard because very few throw the ball over 20 mph to even resemble a hard hit.  Pros hit flush not hard like newbies.
