Title: Ball Pictures
Post by: 300GameBowler on June 10, 2004, 12:38:07 PM
anyone notice how the ball in the picture is as accurate as the picture of a big mac at mcdonalds?  the colors aren't smeared together in the pictures, and they just generally look, better.

i just bought a sonic x and from the picture on here the ball is suppose to be a dark red and darker blue.  when the guy from the pro shop brought it out, i though he had the wrong ball.  mine is more of a dark pinkish and turquois color.  just bought it so i haven't had the chance to use it much but not the most manly looking ball in the world

Yeah, the photographed balls are typically taken from pre-production runs, which are hand poured.  They really use the same colors, but the production balls are always different.

I was lucky enough to get the darker colors on my X -- the kids call it my "Spiderman ball".  I've seen what I guess are the newer lots and they're definitely of the less manly variety....
